This is an exciting and important time for Newcastle Hospitals Charity. We’re growing as a team and in April 2024 we’re moving into new premises which will be the launchpad for our next phase of our work. By 2026 we’re aiming to raise funding of £10m every year to support the ideas and proposals which can make the biggest difference for the patients, staff, and our surrounding communities.
The Charity Systems and Planning Manager has a central part to play in helping our organisation get to where it wants to be. You’ll help us select and implement the systems we need so that we can work in the most efficient and productive ways. You’ll understand the best ways to build the confidence of all users to get the most out of those systems. This work will be the platform for key areas such as our supporters, income generation, grant making, finance management, and communications.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Education
Essential
- Degree level education or equivalent level qualification or experience in a relevant subject in an area of technical development and or data analytics
- Postgraduate qualification, or demonstrable equivalent level of experience of working successfully at a senior level
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Strong project management skills including familiarity with Prince 2/Agile/ITIL or similar project management standards, and experience of working with SQL databases/fundraising or sales information systems at a management level knowledge of data management and analysis regulations and legislation relating to data processing
- Experience of multi-professional and organisation wide working
Desirable
- Experience of working in a charity and/or healthcare setting
- Experience of preparing complex data/information for reports to Management / Executive / Board / Committee level
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Able to engage and work with a range of stakeholders, at all levels
- Proven ability to develop and integrate complex database systems
- Practical statistical, analytical, visualisation and numerical skills
- Proven ability of working both independently and in large teams within a business development or healthcare environment
- Proven ability to research, analyse and assess charity performance and future income generation prospects based on market analysis, performance data and financial information
- High level of computer literacy and advanced keyboard skills
